The senior men’s national teams of the organisations that make up the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the world’s regulatory body of volleyball, competed in the 14th edition of the FIVB Men’s World Cup in 2019. The competition took place in Japan from October 1 until October 15, 2019.  Due to Japan hosting the 2020 Summer Olympics, the FIVB decided not to award any Olympic spots for the first time since 1989. Brazilian Olympic champions defeated Japan in Hiroshima in four sets to win the International Volleyball Federation Men’s World Cup.

Brazil won by scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-14, and 27-25 in the Hiroshima Prefectural Sports Center, ensuring their position atop the 12-team standings.

If the Brazilian team defeats Italy in their final game tomorrow, they will have won all 10 of their previous contests.
