Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and chose to bowl first, however they were unable to stop Quetta Gladiators from amassing a total of 190/4. The opening batsmen for the Quetta Gladiators, Ahsan Ali and Will Smeed, displayed an extremely excellent connection. Will Smeed scored 97 runs off just 62 balls, while Ahsan Ali scored an impressive 73 runs off just 46 balls. The team’s total was good because to both of the openers, but the Peshawar Zalmi were unstoppable and successfully chased down 190 runs.
Despite not having a strong beginning like their rivals, Peshawar Zalmi’s batting performance was outstanding throughout. Yasir Khan and Tom Kohler-Cadmore both scored 22 and 30 runs off of just 16 and 12 balls, respectively.

Hazratullah Zazai and Liam Livingstone were both dismissed with scores of 1 and 0 off 4 and 3 balls, respectively, early in the game, causing Peshawar Zalmi to lose early wickets quickly. However, Hussain Talat and Shoaib Malik’s partnership was successful as they scored 58 and 51 runs off 41 and 33 balls, respectively, whereas Mohammad Haris only managed to score 29 runs off 17 balls.
While Ben Cutting scored 36 runs off of 14 balls and assisted the team in establishing a respectable goal of 186 runs for the Quetta Gladiators, Sherfane Rutherford was also dismissed early with a score of 0.
Except for Will Smeed, who managed to knock 99 runs off 60 balls against Peshawar Zalmi’s tight bowling, Quetta Gladiators struggled against the tight bowling.
