Aaron Finch predicted that Warner will find his best form sooner rather than later before Australia’s match against Pakistan, and the captain’s prediction sounds prescient right now.

“I know he’s been working a little bit with Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer to just make sure he’s in the correct frame of mind,”

Before his century, Warner hit 11 fours and one six, so it’s safe to say he’s in the right state of mind. He eventually was out for 107, and at the end of his innings, he was second in the tournament run charts (255 at 85.00).

It was also the left-first hander’s ODI century in England in his 11th encounter there but his third straight 50-over century versus Pakistan. It was also Australia’s first century of the tournament.

Along the way, he became the sixth Australian with multiple World Cup hundreds and the tenth Australian with 600 runs in men’s World Cup cricket.
